The novel corona-virus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. As a result, federal, state and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and wearing of masks in group settings.
In our efforts to ward off the spread of Covid-19, we have instituted a policy that all guests entering THE WILARIE will have a contact-free temperature check, are required to wear masks and must practice social distancing.
We vow to maintain our venue's cleanliness, making sure it is a safe & healthy environment for all guests. Common areas will be wiped and disinfected regularly, staff will be monitored and encouraged to stay home if they are not feeling well and hand sanitizer stations will be conveniently located at our venue.

THE WILARIE Ballroom can accommodate up to 190 guests & up to 45 guests in our Lounge. The Booking Fee to secure your date is $1,050.00. This fee will be applied to your total event cost. Please note that the Booking Fee is non-refundable after 3 days.

THE WILARIE Diamond Room provides a casual atmosphere that is best suited for 50-75 guests. The Booking Fee to secure your date is $750.00. This fee will be applied to your total event cost. Please note that the Booking Fee is non-refundable after 3 days.
The Wilarie Diamond Room as noted above, South Patio can accommodate 50-75 guests. The Booking Fee to secure your date is $1,150.00. This fee will be applied to your total event cost. Please note that the Booking Fee is non-refundable after 3 days.

THE WILARIE'S House DJ Services can accommodate any age group or genre. The cost includes your digital photos displayed on large screen monitors. Karaoke Services are available at an additional cost.

My daughter took me to the Wilarie for Mother's Day for a genuine Comedy Slam. It was amazing. It was as good, or better, than many of the television/cable comedy jams. The comedians were funny and there were at least 7 (seven) of them, broken in to two groups, with two hosts, who were equally as funny. Because we had VIP Tickets it included dinner, which was very good. The DJ was hotter than a firecracker and just right for Mother's Day. He said all the right things, and played all the right music, The mothers, husbands, and sons were really enjoying themselves. I usually don't go for loud music, but the ambiance was so beautiful, the entertainment so real, the mothers were jammin, and it was my daughter's treat! What a day, what a daughter, what a PLACE!

The Wilarie is a wonderful venue and was so elegantly decorated for our celebration. The stage is spacious and easily accommodated the 4- piece band and the DJ. We held our wedding here and it was beautiful. The venue was clean and beautifully decorated. The service we received was good as well as the food. The staff were excellent and were very professional. We look forward to having our 5th anniversary celebration here. Mr. Foster is to be commended for his professionalism. Keep up the good work because your establishment is awesome. Our family & friends were impressed as well as my husband - who is very hard to please. Everyone is still talking about the food & the venue. I was worried about the outcome but on 10-7-17, the date of our wedding, I found myself very relaxed. If you're looking for a venue, The Wilarie should be considered. Our group recently celebrated our first anniversary here. One of the things guests repeated is "This is a really nice place!". It was great weather so we were able to take advantage of the outside patio.

The African American community in the Philadelphia area spends millions on events and entertainment. The Wilarie offers parking, handicap accessibility, indoor/outdoor event spaces, courteous staff and good food. If you are planning an event, then The Wilarie must be on your short list.

The Wilarie is a beautiful facility, conveniently located near the expressway. The venue provides indoor and outdoor seating, ample lighted parking and attentive service. The staff is very welcoming. The manager is very detail oriented and the facility is impeccably clean. I recommend that you attend one of The Wilarie sponsored events for live entertainment, dancing and delicious food and well stocked bar. This venue is also available for rental for receptions, repasts, and banquets. have great expectations, you will not be disappointed!

Attended a wedding here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was guided where to park (nice-sized, partially gated lot), led inside, and never felt "lost", even tho we were a bit late. Drinks were yummy and made fresh and food was equally tasty. String beans were plump & crisp, portions and seasonings were both appropriate. Venue was clean, well decorated & spacious enough for the party, with even more room outside on the large, comfortable front & back patios, which featured umbrellas for shade & quality torches for ambiance. Nice dance floor (transportable). and large video monitors helped get the party moving. Volume was appropriate as it was was pumpin' but conversations could still be had at the tables. DJ did a pretty good job playing some old & some new, and even throwing some actual "mixing" into the mix. Location, although far from my home, was easy to get to & near major highways. 30 mins from the Walt & probably about 20 mins from the Ben. Took about 25 minutes to drive to PHL airport at 9pm. Overall, it was a beautiful wedding in a suitable & comfortable venue. This seems like a great place to host a variety of wonderful events.

I attended a Friday After Work event at The Wilarie. First of all the space is gorgeous!

Q: What is the usage fee for your facility?
A: The current usage fee for the ballroom & lounge for 4 hours is $2100.00. The ballroom can accommodate up to 200 guests based on type of event & seating arrangement. The lounge can accommodate an additional 45 guests.The usage fee for banquet room, lounge and rear patio for 4 hours is $2900.00. The rear patio can accommodate 500+ guests. This cost includes chairs, tables, secure off street parking and essential staff for 100 guests. Additional charges incurred for staffing over 100 guests.
Q: Do you offer event packages?
A: Not at this time. Each event is custom tailored to the clients wishes and at most times won't fit into a standard package mold.
Q: What is the process to secure my event date?
A: A Booking Fee must be paid to secure your date. The Booking Fee cost is equal to 1/2 of your usage fee and it will be applied toward the total cost of your event. Please be advised before securing your date that the Booking Fee is nonrefundable after 3 days, in the event of cancellation.
Q: When is the total event balance due?
A: After confirming your event date an agreement will be issued which must be signed & returned within 7 business days along with 50% of your balance, minus the Booking Fee.
Q: Can I bring my own food, drink or outside caterer into the venue for my event?
A: Outside caterers are allowed to be brought into the venue provided they are licensed & insured and approved by THE WILARIE GM. There is an Outside Catering Fee starting at $250.00. We take pride in having several fine caterers who can accommodate most tastes and budgets. All beverage services are administered by THE WILARIE.
